Boswellia, also known as Indian frankincense, is a powerful supplement primarily known for its support of natural inflammatory processes. Boswellic acids, the active components of Indian frankincense, inhibit 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) and leukotriene synthesis, and inhibit leukocyte elastase, which are the likely mechanisms for its beneficial properties.
